NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) every year in the month of May for aspirants who want to pursue medical (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) at government or private colleges in India. The NEET exam question paper is formed on the basis of the syllabus specified by the MCI (Medical Council of India).

Exam Details

  • The exam covers the complete syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for both Class 11 & 12.

  • The question paper is asked in 11 languages - English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Oriya, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, and Assamese.

  • The question paper is divided into 3 sections comprising of 180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ's) in which 45 questions from Physics, 45 questions from Chemistry and 90 questions from Biology. The total marks for the exam are 720.

  • The exam mode is offline with a time duration of 3 hours.

  • Candidates will get 4 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

  • It is not mandatory to attempt all questions. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.
